The Western Digital 1080p Media Player is very cool device. It let's you playback media on portable storage devices (like external hard drives or flash drives) on your TV. In particular, this unit has support for 1080p content (ie. mkv files). Compared to an HTPC, this is definitely a simpler (and more discrete) way to play movies and other media on your television. Compare prices as well, you won't find it cheaper than $139.42 at other retailers at the moment.
