"Cents of Humor" is an American sketch comedy series created, written and starring best friends David Baeza Jr and Jonathan "Lil J" McDaniel. The series includes dozens of recurring sketches involving fictional characters created for the show, along with several spoofs that parody and exaggerate American television, film, music, franchises and food products. In Between sketches, "Cents of Humor" plays short introductions provided by a number of celebrities, including Larry King, George Lopez, Justin Long, Danny McBride, Adam Carolla, Anna Kendrick, Dr.Drew Pinsky, Nick Swardson and "Reno 911"s Kerri Kenney. The celebrity introductions can be seen anytime on the "Cents of Humor" Facebook, YouTube and official website. The title "Cents of Humor" has a variety of meanings. A cent is the lowest form of currency, with the title, McDaniel and Baeza Jr interpret a "cent" as a SKETCH, fast, funny and unique sketches of humor. McDaniel and Baeza Jr. deliver their "two cents" of humor to the world with their new series. The title also refers to McDaniel and Baeza Jr staying true to their raw "Sense of humor" in sketches and spoofs, and remaining true to their roots with absolutely no intention to sell out or make typical commercial "sitcom" entertainment sketches for their show. The series begins filming in the first quarter of 2011, with sketches to be released shortly after on "Cents of Humor"s official website, Facebook, Youtube, and Funnyordie website. Peter V Brett Peephole In My Skull Bookplate

December 29th, 2010 No Comments   Source TotallyFreeStuff, Uncategorized
Peter V. Brett is an American writer of fantasy novels. He is the author of the ongoing Demon Series, whose first volume The Painted Man, was first published in the United Kingdom by Harper Collins's Voyager imprint in 2008. The book is known as The Warded Man in the United States where it was published by Del Ray Books. The Desert Spear is book two of the Demon Series. The Deliverer has returned, but who is he? Arlen Bales, formerly of the small hamlet of Tibbet's Brook, learnt harsh lessons about life as he grew up in a world where hungry demons stalk the night and humanity is trapped by its own fear. He chose a different path; chose to fight inherited apathy and the corelings, and eventually he became the Painted Man, a reluctant saviour. But the figure emerging from the desert, calling himself the Deliverer, is not Arlen. He is a friend and betrayer, and though he carries the spear from the Deliverer's tomb, he also heads a vast army intent on a holy war against the demon plague and anyone else who stands in his way. Restoring America’s Rivers DVD

December 28th, 2010 No Comments   Source TotallyFreeStuff, Uncategorized
American Rivers is the leading conservation organization standing up for healthy rivers so communities can thrive. American Rivers protects and restores the nation's rivers and the clean water that sustains people, wildlife, and nature. Founded in 1973, American Rivers has more than 65,000 members and supporters, with offices in Washington, DC and nationwide. Through their work in five key program areas - Rivers and Global Warming, River Restoration, River Protection, Clean Water and Water Supply - American Rivers is working to protect remaining natural heritage, undo the damage of the past and create a healthy future for rivers and future generations. Communities across the nation are facing increasingly extreme storms that bring damaging floods. These events can strain outdated infrastructure and endanger public safety. Restoring America's Rivers tells the story of how community leaders around the country are solving these problems by working with nature, not against it. Dams are being removed and levees are being set back in an effort to restore floodplains and give rivers room to spread out, while making communities safer and more resilient to weather extremes, and restoring vital habitat for fish and wildlife. Scott Naturals Tissue Coupon

December 24th, 2010 No Comments   Source TotallyFreeStuff
It's hard to imagine a time when household necessities like bath tissue rolls and paper towels didn't exist. But that was life back in 1879 when brothers Clarence and E. Irvin Scott founded the Scott Paper Company in Philadelphia. Blending their practical savvy with a philosophy of quality products at a fair price, the Scott brothers invented new categories for paper products that simply made sense to the American public. As the first company to market tissue rolls as toilet paper in the 1890s, Scott met people's desire for better hygiene while overcoming their Victorian-era embarrassment of the topic. (No easy feat.) In 1907 the company introduced paper towels to help prevent the spread of colds from cloth towels in restrooms. This too caught on, and by 1931 Scott was selling paper towels as a convenient, sanitary solution for kitchen cleanup as well. Soon after, Scott debuted the first paper napkins and by 1939 had become the biggest selling brand in the U.S. Throughout the years, Scott continued to grow while staying focused on honest quality and practical value. The 1960s saw Scott Towels as the first available in designer prints. In the 1990s Kimberly-Clark acquired Scott and later introduced revolutionary fast-absorbing ridges in paper towels. With the more recent launches of Scott Naturals Flushable Moist Wipes and Scott Extra Soft Tissue, Scott has become the first value brand ever to achieve billion-dollar sales status. Recently, a full line of Scott Naturals Towels, Bath Tissue and Napkins has joined Scott Brand's family of products. So for over a century now, generations of smart shoppers have trusted Scott for products that won't sacrifice their families' comfort or their wallets. Scott Naturals products are made with just the right amount of recycled fiber to perform the way you need them to.

Asian American Voices DVD & Discussion Kits

December 23rd, 2010 No Comments   Source TotallyFreeStuff, Uncategorized
Asian Americans for Community Involvement (AACI) is proud to present the release of its new film on DVD, "Asian American Voices: Shaping Silicon Valley, Strengthening Community, Sharing Hope." DVD & Discussion Kits are now being offered as a free resource to individuals and groups interested in hosting a small film discussion session. What is the film about? This 18-minute film follows the stories-the successes, hardships, and hopes-of three Asian American immigrants in Silicon Valley. Despite struggling through language, cultural, and health care barriers, these individuals readily work to shape the local community. For a region that has thrived on the ideas and labor of immigrants past and present, supporting these populations remains vital toward improving the social and economic health of Silicon Valley. How will my group benefit from the film and discussion? Hosting an "Asian American Voices" film discussion session is a unique opportunity to promote cross-cultural understanding in your community. Although the film focuses on the stories of Asian American immigrants, the themes and experiences presented cross racial and ethnic boundaries. These stories put a human face to issues such as race, culture, and immigration. As a result, viewers-no matter their background or experience with immigrant populations-can connect with the issues and feel more open to discussing them on a personal level. The film serves as a foundation for deepening understanding of the immigrant experience, building trust between communities, and encouraging action for change. How can I receive a free DVD and host a discussion? AACI is offering free DVD & Discussion Kits to individuals or groups committed to hosting a film discussion session(s) for a total of 10 or more people. Along with the DVD, the kit includes a discussion packet with audience-tailored questions. It also contains information, supplemental resources, and action steps that your group can take to support immigrant communities. In return for the DVD & Discussion Kit, they ask that you complete your session(s) and return host/participant evaluations by April 15, 2011. If you choose not to return evaluations by this time, they will invoice the cost of the DVD & Discussion Kit plus shipping (approx. $10). To request your free DVD & Discussion Kit, please contact Beverly Wong, Voices Project Coordinator, by phone or email.

He expanded the stores' sizes, stocked every Californian wine, and changed the names to Trader Joe's. In 1969, the first Hawaiian shirts were worn by employees expressing their personalities. Like the use of a decorative maritime bell for communication purposes, it was something that worked well and spread to other locations. Although it's these small details, like cedar plank walls, that make shopping at Trader Joe's a welcoming experience, it was the branding of the first Trader Joe's product that marked the beginning of a value-based chain. Starting with granola in 1972, Trader Joe's cut for both themselves and their customers by producing their own innovative, hard-to-find, great-tasting foods.
