Amazon.ca: Preorder a Nintendo DSi XL at $189.99, Get $20 Credit Toward Future Video Game Purchase

Those of you interested in Nintendo’s forthcoming DSi XL should make note of Amazon.ca’s pre-order offer. Specifically, if you pre-order a Nintendo DSi XL, you will receive a $20 credit that can be applied toward a future video game purchase. Currently, Amazon.ca is accepting pre-orders for the Nintendo DSi XL in bronze and the Nintendo DSi XL in bergundy. Either will set you back $189.99.

If you’re not familiar with the DSi XL, it is essentially a Nintendo DS with noticeably larger screens. According to Wikipedia, the DSi XL screens measure 4.2″ diagonally (3.36″ x 2.52″) while the DS Lite has screens that measure 3.25″ diagonally. That amounts to a screen area that is 93% larger than the DS Lite’s. It’s definitely not a product for everyone, but some DS owners will certainly appreciate a bigger screen, and it gives newcomers to the Nintendo DS another option.

The DSi XL has an expected launch date of March 28 and qualifies for free shipping.

TigerDirect.ca: Refurb Sansa Fuze 8GB MP3 Player $55, AMD X4 9650 Barebone Kit $320 AR & More

We’ve sifted through the latest offers from TigerDirect.ca and pulled out some interesting items just for you! Among other things, you’ll find a good deal on a Sansa MP3 player with Micro SD expandability and a barebone AMD X4 9650 PC kit.

At $55, the refurbished Sansa makes for a nice MP3 player. It’s small, can play video, has an FM tuner, 8GB built in capacity and micro SD expandability. If you’re looking to put together a cheap quad core computer system, the barebone kit is probably a good place to start. The mail in rebate is comparatively small ($5), and having a 1TB hard drive included is generous. On the laptop side of things, the Asus G51VX has been a popular item in the past. The big selling point is the GeForce GTX 260M video card, which gives notebook a lot of power for games — much more so than most laptops.

TigerDirect.ca offers free shipping on orders over $100 and under 20lbs to many destinations in Canada. The barebone kit, Asus laptop, and Philips LCD should all qualify.
